Conversation and Connection

Photographs represent memories, of course they do. They are one of the best ways we have to look back at times gone by.

But what about the here and now?

Printed photographs can be a wonderful way to connect with our children.

There's nothing we love more as a family, than getting out the annual family photo books and looking back on the things we did together. We talk, we laugh and sometimes we cry. They prompt reflections on how things have changed, thinking about the activities the kids enjoy doing 'now' compared to 'then', and even encourage us to revisit places we have enjoyed going together.

I believe passionately that photos shouldn't just be about collecting memories, to be stored on a shelf (or even a wall) and never talked about. Photos should provide an opportunity for genuine connection. Use family photographs as a chance to be 'in the moment' and truly present with your family.

It is partly for this reason, that I offer 'Day in the Life Photography Sessions'. I spend around 5 or 6 hours with you (honestly it flies by and you forget I am there for the most part) photographing the real moments of family life. I adore being able to provide this service for families and getting to know you in the process. I am able to capture a 'moment' in your family's life which you can revisit again and again with each other through the resulting photo book. Here is me telling you some more about these sessions:

And here is a gallery of photos from one family's photo session. They now have a fabulous selection of photos that represent this time in their life, from the way the house and workshop looked, their pet dog, the gorgeous garden, the things the children were into and most important, their authentic and loving interactions.
